    This is a very good and easy dessert to make dudring 'peach season'!

    List of Ingredients




    4 cups peeled, sliced peaches
    3 cups sugar, divided
    1/2 cup water
    8 tbls. butter
    1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
    1 1/2 cups milk

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    Combine peaches, 1 cup sugar and water in sauepan, mi well and bring to a boil. Let simmer for 10 minutes; remove from heat. Put butter in a deep baking dish and place in oven to melt. Mix remaining 2 cups sugar and flour, add the milk slowly to prevent clumping. Pour this mxture over melted butter...DO NOT STIR! Spoon fruit evenly on top and gently pour in the syrup. Batter will rise to the top during baking. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes.

    Serve with your choice of whipped cream, or, vanilla ice cream. Yummy!
