- 6 cup apples thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Dash nutmeg
- 1 tbsp margarine
- sugar ( optional)
Instructions
- Pastery for Double Crust pie
- Prepare and roll out pastery. Line a 9 inch pie pan with 1/2 of the pastery. Trim.
- Sprinkle apples with lemon juice to give more tartness.In bowl mix sugar,flour cinnamon and nutmeg. Add sugar mix to apples and toss to mix. Fill pie pan with apple mixture , dot with margarine. Put on top crust and cut slits in top crust to allow steam to escape. Seal and flute edges.Sprinkle a bit of sugar on top of crust.
- Bake 375 oven for 45 to 50 min.
