Apple Nut Cake

List of Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/4 C. cooking oil or margarine
- 2 C. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
- 3 cups plain flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3 C. cut up fresh apples
- 2 C. chopped nuts
- 1 T. rum extract and 1 T. water mixed
Instructions
- Preheated oven at 325º. Beat eggs cooking oil sugar and vanilla for about 2 minutes with mixer.
- Sift and slowly add flour, salt and, baking soda until blended.
- With large spoon, stir in apples and nuts until blended.
- Last of all, add rum extract and water.
- Grease and flour tube cake pan and bake in preheated oven at 325º for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- When done, let set until pan is cooled.
