    One, Two, Three, Four Cake

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/3 cups butter
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 1/4 t. salt
    • 4 eggs
    • 3 cups plain flour
    • 3 t. baking powder
    • 1 cup milk
    • 2 t. vanilla flavoring


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350º. Cream butter, sugar and salt thoroughly until light.

    2. Add eggs and blend.

    3. Sift flour and baking powder 3 times in separate container.

    4. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk and vanilla until smooth.

    5. Pour into greased and floured sheet cake pan or 4 cake pans.

    6. Bake for 20-25 for cake pans or about 30-35 minutes for sheet cake pan.

    7. Cake is done when lightly brown and you quickly touch top of cake with finger and cake springs back up.

    8. Cool cake before frosting.
