List of Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 t. salt
- 4 eggs
- 3 cups plain flour
- 3 t. baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 2 t. vanilla flavoring
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350º. Cream butter, sugar and salt thoroughly until light.
- Add eggs and blend.
- Sift flour and baking powder 3 times in separate container.
- Add dry ingredients alternately with milk and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour into greased and floured sheet cake pan or 4 cake pans.
- Bake for 20-25 for cake pans or about 30-35 minutes for sheet cake pan.
- Cake is done when lightly brown and you quickly touch top of cake with finger and cake springs back up.
- Cool cake before frosting.
