    Crock Pot Stew Beef

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 or 3 lbs. beef stew
    • 6 new potatoes scrubbed, unpealed and halved
    • Half small bag of baby carrots
    • 1 large onion sliced
    • 1/2 t. sage
    • 1/2 t. oregano
    • 1/2 t. basil
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • 1/2 t. garlic salt
    • Fill crock pot 2/3 full with water


    Instructions


    1. Put thawed stew meat in crockpot. Add carrots, potatoes, onion on top. Add water until pot is 2/3s full.

    2. Add seasonings.

    3. Turn crockpot on low and cook all day stirring occasionally. One hour before supper, put 1/4 cup cold water in measuring cup, add 3 T. cornstarch and stir until smooth. Add to stew and stir in well to thicken for gravey. Cook until stew meat is tender.





    Final Comments


    This recipe is good on a busy day when you have a lot to do. Just put it in the crock pot first thing in the morning and it will be ready for supper.
