Bread Pudding

List of Ingredients
- 2 qts. milk
- 5 cups bread cubes or small pieces
- 1 T. margarin
- 1 or 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 T. vanilla flavoring
- 1/2 cup raisins, if desired
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350º. Heat milk until hot but not boiling.
- Add bread and margarine.
- Beat eggs and add sugar and salt.
- Add milk mixture and vanilla flavoring.
- Pour into baking dish and sprinkle with nutmeg, cinnamon and sugar.
- Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until knife inserted comes out clean. Let cool. If desired, pour Confectioners Sugar Glaze over top.
- Confectioners Sugar Glaze:
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 2 or 3 T. milk
- 1/2 t. vanilla flavoring
- Stir confectioners sugar, milk, and vanilla until blended and pore over pudding.
