    • Large whole fryer
    • Lemon pepper


    Instructions


    1. Wash chicken. Sprinkle lemon pepper in bottom of pan. Place chicken in pan and sprinkle lemon pepper all over chicken. Cover with tinfoil.
    2. Bake in preheated oven at 350º for 20 minutes a pound. Just before chicken is done, remove foil and baste juice over chicken to brown. Repeat two more times. Chicken will be done when fork is pierced between thigh and body of chicken and no blood comes out.
    3. Gravy: Measure two cups of cold water and stir in 3 tablespoons of corn starch. Pour into pan with chicken stirring well until gravy is thickened. Ladle gravy over chicken, slice and serve.
