    List of Ingredients


    • 2 tsp olive oil
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 28-oz can diced tomatoes
    • 1 tsp dried oregano
    • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
    • 12 oz whole-wheat linguine
    • 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
    • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil


    Instructions


    1. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and cook 1 minute. Add tomatoes, oregano and red pepper flakes and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 15 minutes.
    2. Meanwhile, cook linguine according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
    3. Add shrimp to simmering tomato sauce and cook 2 minutes, until bright pink and cooked through. Remove from heat and stir in basil.
    4. Transfer linguine to individual plates, top with tomato-shrimp mixture and serve.
