Shrimp Fra Diavolo

List of Ingredients
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 28-oz can diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 12 oz whole-wheat linguine
- 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and cook 1 minute. Add tomatoes, oregano and red pepper flakes and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook linguine according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Add shrimp to simmering tomato sauce and cook 2 minutes, until bright pink and cooked through. Remove from heat and stir in basil.
- Transfer linguine to individual plates, top with tomato-shrimp mixture and serve.
