Squash Cassarole

I've had this recipe so long, I can't remember where I got it from.
List of Ingredients
- 1 Pound summer squash
- 1/2 Stick of butter, melted
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 cup mayonaise
- 1 Large onion
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheese
- 1 stack crumbled Ritz or Townhouse crackers
Instructions
- Cook Summer Squash and onion together until crisp, not soggy. Either steam or boil.
- Drain thoroughly and put in a greased (with pam) 2 quart cassarole dish.
- Add all the other ingredients with the squash and onion. Mix well.
- Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes. The top will be bubbly and just browned.
Final Comments
My kids hate squash, but they do eat this. This is one of my husband's favorite cassaroles.
