    Grandmother Paul's Sour Cream Pound Cake

    Ingredients:

    * 1/4 lb butter
    * 1 1/2 cup sugar
    * 1/2 cup sour cream
    * 1 1/2 cup flour
    * 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    * 3 eggs
    * 1/2 teaspoon vanilla


    Directions:

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine and cream the butter, sugar, and add the sour cream. Sift the baking soda and flour together. Add the sifted flour to the creamed mixture alternating with eggs, beating each egg one at a time. Add the vanilla and pour the mixture into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake for 1 hour 20 minutes.

    Yield: 8 to 10 servings
    Preparation time: 25 minutes
    Cooking time: 1 hour 20 minutes
