    We make these every Christmas with ham and they are SOOOO good. Easy and exactly the taste you want. YUM!

    List of Ingredients




    Sylvia’s Cheesy Potatoes

    3 lbs. thinly sliced potatoes
    1 stick butter
    1 small onion, diced small
    1 t. dry mustard
    2/3 lb Velveeta, cubed
    1/2 lb. sharp cheddar, shredded
    2 c. half and half
    1 T. sugar or to taste

    Parboil sliced potatoes for 5 minutes then drain. Let butter melt in a large saucepan over medium heat. Saute onions in butter. Then add both cheeses and melt. Stir in half and half, sugar and mustard. Mix well and heat through.

    Put potatoes in a greased 9x13 pan. Pour hot cheese mixture over potatoes. Bake about 1 hr at 375 degrees until potatoes are tender. Don’t let potatoes get too cooked or they fall apart. Cover pan unless you want it to brown on top.
