    6 Week Bran Muffins


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups natural bran
    • 2 cups raisens
    • 2 cups boiling water
    • 1/2 cup margarine
    • 1-3/4 cup sugar
    • 4 eggs
    • 1 quart buttermilk
    • 4 cups flour
    • 2 tbsp. soda
    • 4 cups bran flakes
    • 1 tsp salt


    Instructions


    1. Pour boiling water over raisens. Let sit until cool. Blend together margarine and sugar, then add eggs, one at a time and beat well. Stir in cooled raisins and bran. Add buttermilk. Mix well. Gradually add flour ,natural bran, soda and salt. Mix well. Add bran flakes. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.


    Final Comments


    This batter can be refridgerated for up to six weeks
