    Refrigerator Rolls

    List of Ingredients

    2 cups milk
    1/2 cup butter
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 cup flour
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 tablespoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    2 cups flour

    Recipe

Heat the milk, butter and sugar to 125º. Add 2 cups of flour and dry yeast. Beat 2 minutes on medium speed of electric mixer. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for 2 hours in a warm place. Punch down the dough and add the salt, soda and baking powder. Add 2 more cups of flour, mixing well. Place dough on floured board and knead, using additional flour as is necessary, until dough ceases to be sticky. Place in air-tight, buttered container, buttering exposed surfaces, and refrigerate until needed. About 2 hours before serving, make the rolls, cover, and let rise. Bake in a 425º preheated oven until nicely browned, about 12-15 minutes.

Makes about 2-3 dozen rolls depending on size.

Note: This dough will keep in refrigerator for about 5 days.
