    Cheese & Cake Deep Dish Pie

    List of Ingredients




    Now you can have your cake and your pie and eat it too!

    Filling:
    1 8 ounce pkg. cream cheese, softened
    2/3 cup sugar
    1/2 cup sour cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    Cake:
    1 cup All-Purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    dash of salt
    1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
    2/3 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tablespoon milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    Topping:
    1 cup sour cream
    2 tbls. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 325º. Grease and flour 10" deep dish pie plate.

    In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and 2/3 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Add 1/2 cup sour cream and 1 tsp. vanilla extract; blend well. Add eggs one at a time, beating on low speed; set aside.

    In a medium sized bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt.

    In a larger bowl, beat margarine and 2/3 cup sguar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Stir in milk and vanilla extract. Add dry ingredients and beat on low speed of mixer for 1 minute.

    Spread batter into prepared pie dish, bringing a thin line of batter up sides as in a pie crust. Pour cream cheese mixture over batter.

    Bake in 325º oven for 40-45 minutes.

    Meanwhile in a small bowl combine all topping ingredients. Immediately upon removing pie from oven spread topping evenly over pie and bake an additional 5 minutes.

    Refrigerate for 3-4 hours or overnight.
