    Five Flavors Pound Cake

    List of Ingredients




    2 Sticks margarine
    1/4 cup Shortening
    3 cups Sugar
    5 Eggs
    3 cups All purpose flour
    1 cup Milk
    1 tsp. Rum extract
    1 tsp. Vanilla extract
    1 tsp. Coconut extract
    1 tsp. Lemon extract
    1 tsp. Butter Flavoring

    GLAZE:
    1 cup Sugar
    1/2 cup Water
    1/2 tsp. Rum extract
    1/2 tsp. Vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp. Coconut extract
    1/2 tsp. Lemon flavoring
    1/2 tsp. Butter flavoring

    Recipe



    Cream together margarine, shortening and sugar. Beat
    eggs and add to creamed mixture. Mix flour and add
    baking powder. Alternately add milk and flour mixture
    to creamed mixture. Stir in flavorings. Bake at 325
    degrees in a 10 inch tube or baking loaf pan for 1 1/2
    hours. When cake is done, cool, remove and glaze.

    Five-Flavor Pound Cake Glaze
    Combine sugar, water and flavorings in a saucepan.
    Bring to a boil. Pour half of the mixture over the
    cake while still in the pan. Keep other half of glaze
    warm. When first half of glaze has been absorbed, dump
    cake over and out of pan and pour remaining glaze very
    slowly over cake.
