One-Step Pound Cake
List of Ingredients
2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon grated lemon or orange peel
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup of dairy sour cream
1 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
Glaze
1 cup powered sugar
1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice
Recipe
Heat oven to 325º.
Generously grease and lightly flour 12 cup bundt pan.
In large bowl, blend all cake ingredients at low speed until moistened. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 325º for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool to lukewarm; invert onto serving plate. Cool completely.
In small bowl, blend glaze ingredients until smooth. Spoon over cake.
