    River Bottom Cake

    List of Ingredients




    Cake:
    1 C flour
    2/3 C. sugar
    3 T. cocoa
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 C. milk
    3 T. melted butter
    1 tsp. vanilla extract

    Topping:
    1/2 C. brown sugar
    3 T. cocoa
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 C. white sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/4 C. boiling water

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350º. Sift the dry cake ingredients together. Add the liquid cake ingredients. Blend well and pour into a greased 8"x8" pan. Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle over cake. Pour boiling water over all. DO NOT STIR. Bake 40 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
