Almost Fannie May Carmels
List of Ingredients
2 cups light corn syrup
1 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup whipping cream
1 cup butter
4 cups sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups walnuts, finely chopped
Optional: Milk Chocolate dipping chocolate
Recipe
Butter a 9x13" baking pan. In top of double boiler place sugar, corn syrup, condensed milk, milk, cream, and butter. Place over boiling water, and stir occasionally with wooden spoon until mixture comes to a boil. Test with candy thermometer, until temperature reaches 240º or soft ball stage. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Pour mixture out without scraping the pan. Allow to stand overnight. Cut into 1" rectangles. Wrap in wax paper to store, or dip in melted milk chocolate.
