    Corn Bread & Meat Casserole

    List of Ingredients




    1 lb. ground beef
    1 can tomato soup
    1 can Corn, drained
    1 bell Pepper, sliced or chopped
    1 medium onion, sliced or chopped
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tbsp. chili powder
    1 1/2 cans water


    Recipe



    Corn Bread Topping: Make your corn bread the way you usually, set aside.

    In a large frying pan brown the ground beef and drain off fat. Add tomato soup and 1 1/2 tomato soup cans of water. Add all the other ingredients. Stir and simmer for about 15 minutes. Then pour into a large oven proof casserole. Slowly, so as to have it sink into mixture, spoon the corn bread topping over the beef mixture. Bake at 400º for about 25 minutes or until the corn bread is golden brown.
