    Cream Cheese Peanut Butter Brownies

    List of Ingredients




    2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
    1 cup peanut butter, smooth or chunky
    1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
    3 large eggs
    8 ounces cream cheese, softened
    6 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
    1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 cup sifted all-purpose flour

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350º. Grease 13x9" baking pan.

    With electric mixer, cream 1/2 stick of butter with 1 cup peanut butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar until creamy. Beat in 1 egg and 8 ounces cream cheese, a little at a time, until mixture is smooth.

    In top of double boiler over barely simmering water, combine 1/2 stick butter, cut into pieces, with 6 ounces chocolate and heat, stirring, until melted and smooth. Let mixture cool.

    In another bowl cream together remaining 1 stick butter with 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the remaining 2 eggs, 1 at a time, until incorporated. Stir in melted chocolate mixture, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1 cup flour until combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.

    Drop dollops of peanut butter cream cheese mixture into batter. Swirl it in with tip of knife to marblize. Bake 45 minutes, or until brownies pull away slightly from sides of pan and tester inserted in center comes out crumbly and not gooey. Cool completely. Enjoy!
