    Burgandy Beef Pasta

    List of Ingredients




    8 ounces uncooked linguine
    1 pound top sirloin, very thinly sliced crosswise
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
    2 teaspoons vegetable oil
    1/4 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
    1 can (14-1/2 ounces) Stewed Tomatoes (No Salt Added)
    1 can (8 ounces) Tomato Sauce (No Salt Added)
    3/4 cup dry red wine


    Recipe



    Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
    Cook sirloin, garlic and thyme in oil in large skillet over medium-high heat 3 minutes.
    Add mushrooms; cook 1 minute. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and wine.
    Cook, uncovered, over medium heat 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.

    Helpful Hint: Cook pasta ahead; rinse and drain. Cover and refrigerate. Just before serving, heat in microwave or dip in boiling water.
