    Pineapple Nut Tea Sandwiches

    List of Ingredients




    2 cups crushed pineapple, drained
    ¾ cup sugar
    1 cup nuts, chopped (pecans, walnuts, almonds)
    8 ounces cream cheese
    1-2 tablespoons milk
    24 slices sandwich bread, sliced thinly

    Recipe



    Remove cream cheese from refrigerator and allow to come to room temperature. In a saucepan combine pineapple and sugar. Bring to a boil. Cook til thick, stirring constantly. Cool, then stir in nuts.

    In a bowl combine softened cream cheese with enough milk to make a good spreading consistency. Combine with the pineapple mixture.

    Just before serving:
    Spread on bread and top with another piece of bread. Trim crusts off and cut into triangles.
