White Castle or Mighty one bites!

    List of Ingredients

1 dozen dinner rolls, Merita makes a great small one you can buy at the bread outlets. They come in packages of 2 dozen for about $1.19
1 lb. extra lean ground beef
1/2 cup water-to add to beef mixture
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    3/4 cup onion, finely chopped
1 beef bouillon cube-to add to onions
    12 dill pickle slices
    straw or a fork

    Recipe

Prepare a jelly roll pan by covering it in plastic wrap; set aside.

Place ground beef, salt and 1/2 cup of water in food processor, process just enough to blend, mixture will look almost pasty. Put mixture in the center of the pan and top with another piece of plastic wrap. Roll mixture into a 11x13 in rectangle, about 1/4" in thickness. Remove plastic wrap and cut meat into 3x3" squares; you'll get about 12 pieces, maybe more. Using a straw or a fork, perforate each square five times. Cover pan with plastic wrap again and freeze until meat is partially frozen.

Place onions, beef bouillon, and a 1/2 cup of water in a frying pan. Set heat to between low and medium, and heat stirring until onions are clear. If necessary more water can be added. Turn burner off until ready to cook hamburgers.

When hamburgers are just barely frozen, place in fry pan with burner set between low and medium. Make sure you still have enough water, just so the bottom is covered. Place hamburgers in pan and cover with a lid. Fry just a couple of minutes turning hamburgers once. Don't cook to long or they'll dry out; you want these juicy.

When hamburgers arae finished cooking, place on dinner rolls and top with dill pickles. Cover with tops and steam slightly in microwave just a few seconds.

These aren't the original sliders, but when you can't have the real thing, this will just have to do.
