    Shells & Meatball Stew

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 lb ground beef
    1/4 cup long grain rice uncooked
    1 egg beaten
    1/8 tsp ground black pepper
    2 1/2 cups water
    1 can tomatoes 14 1/2 oz whole, broken up
    1 envelope onion soup mix
    1/2 tsp Italian seasonings
    1/4 tsp dried thyme leaves
    1/4 tsp garlic powder
    1/2 cup small shell pasta

    Recipe



    In a medium bowl, combine ground beef, rice, egg, and black pepper. Shape into 1 inch balls and place ona baking sheet or wax paper. set aside

    In a medium saucepan, combine water, tomatoes, onion soup mix, Italian seasoning, thyme, and garlic powder. Bring to a boil. Carefully drop the meatballs into the boiling stew mixture and gently stir in pasta shells. Reduce heat to medium-low and cover and simmer for about 25 minutes till meatballs are cooked through and pasta is done.
