Chocolate Suicide Cake

Yields: Makes 24 servings
2 cups all-purpose flour
1-3/4 cups sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 box (4 serving) chocolate fudge pudding mix
1-1/4 cups water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla
3 squares unsweetened chocolate
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 bag (12 oz.) chocolate chips
Recipe
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and pudding mix. Add water, oil and vanilla. Beat until mixed thoroughly.
In a saucepan, melt unsweetened chocolate over low heat; stir until smooth. Add eggs and beat until smooth. Add chocolate chips and beat until smooth. Pour into batter and mix well. Pour into 9-by-13-inch greased and floured cake pan (metal only). Bake at 350 degrees F. 40 to 50 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or ice as desired.
