Dude Ranch Cherry Pie

Filling:
1 cup sugar
4 tablespoons flour
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1-1/2 cups cherry juice (not fruit)
Mix well and cook in a double boiler until thick (5 or 6 minutes) stirring constantly to eliminate lumps. Then fold in 2 cups pitted cherries, pour mixture over pastry in pie tin, and then top.
Topping:
1-1/2 cups dry oatmeal
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 tablespoons flour
5 tablespoons butter
Mix well and spread over top of pie and bake 20 minutes at 325 degrees.
Crust
1/2 Cup butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
Mix together with hands. Roll into a ball. Place balled dough in a greased pie container. Pat out into container, covering tin on all sides. Bake dough for 15 minutes, pull out, cool and fill.
