4 slices Focaccia bread
¼ cup olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 green apples, pared and sliced thinly
½ cup caramelized or lightly sautéed onions, sliced thinly
1 cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese
1/3 cup walnuts, chopped lightly
Recipe
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly coat each slice of focaccia with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Layer bread with apple slices and onion. Sprinkle gorgonzola on top of apples and onions. Sprinkle with walnuts. Place on baking sheet and bake in preheated oven until just warm.
