    List of Ingredients




    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1/4 C. chopped onion
    1 t. Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 t. garlic powder
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 can (4 oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained
    1 C. sour cream
    butter, softened
    1 loaf French bread cut in half lengthwise
    2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
    1 green pepper cut in rings
    1 C. shredded Cheddar

    Recipe



    In a skillet brown beef with onion. Drain. Season with Worchestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Remove from the heat and stir in mushrooms and sour cream. Set aside.

    Butter the cut surfaces of the bread and place buttered side up on a baking sheet. Broil till light golden brown.

    Reset oven to 375º.

    Spread bread with ground beef mixture. Top with tomatoes, pepper rings, and cheese. Bake for 5 minutes or till the cheese melts. Serve immediately.

    Serves 6-8
