Red Devil's Food Cake




List of Ingredients



• 3 eggs
  
• 2 cups sugar
  
• 1/4 lb butter (1/2 stick)
  
• 1 tsp salt
  
• 2 rounded soup spoons cocoa
  
• 2 cups flour
  
• 1 cup cold water w 1 large tsp baking soda in it
  
• 1 tsp vanilla
  






Instructions



1. Put eggs in electric mixing bowl and beat until lemon colored.
   
   
2. Add sugar and butter and beat thoroughly with mixer.
   
   
3. Lower mixing speed to lowest speed, adding salt, cocoa, vanilla, flour, and water w soda in gradually.
   
   
4. Lots of beating (5 to 10 minutes) makes it light and delicious. I often walk away and let the mixer run while doing something else.
   
   
5. Bake in floured 9" x 13" baking pan at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
