    Spicy Cheese Toast

    3 slices sandwich bread
    2 tablespoons butter or margarine
    2 tablespoons chutney
    1/4 cup grated Cheddar cheese (1 oz)
    paprika for garnish

    Preheat broiler if necessary. Place oven shelf 3 to 6 inches from heating element. Cut crusts from bread; reserve crusts for another use. Cut each bread slice in half. Cut in half again. Arrange on an ungreased baking sheet.

    In broiler, toast 1 side only. Spread butter or margarine on untoasted side. Finely chop pieces of chutney fruit; spread chutney over butter or margarine. Top evenly with cheese; sprinkle with paprika for garnish. Broil until topping bubbles. Serve hot.
