Peanut Butter/Apple Fudge

1 package chocolate chips -- (6 oz)
1/2 jar marshmallow creme -- (7 oz size)
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup apple cider
Combine first four ingredients in a bowl. Cook the sugar and cider over moderate heat to soft ball stage (240 degrees F.). Remove from heat and quickly add chocolate mixture. Stir until blended. Pour into a 9-inch buttered pan. Cool and cut into squares.
