    Green Beans With Tomatoes And Herbs

    1 tablespoon olive oil
    2 cloves garlic -- minced
    1 small onion -- minced
    1 can crushed tomatoes
    -- (14 ounce)
    1 teaspoon minced basil
    1 teaspoon minced oregano
    1 pound trimmed green beans
    salt and pepper -- to taste

    In a medium skillet over medium heat, heat the oil. Add the garlic and onion and saute for 3 to 4 minutes. Add the tomatoes, basil and oregano. Cook for 2 minutes. Add the green beans. Cover and cook for 6 to 7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
