Spicy Apple Slaw

**** DRESSING ****
1/2 cup nonfat or low-fat plain yogurt
2 tablespoons orange juice
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
**** SLAW ****
2 medium Rome Apples -- cored and coarsely
-- chopped (2 cups)
1 1/2 cups shredded green cabbage
1 cup shredded red cabbage
1 medium Granny Smith apple -- cored and coarsely
-- chopped (1 cup)
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts -- optional
1 tablespoon dried currants
Combine dressing ingredients in 1-cup measure. Stir to dissolve sugar, set aside.
In large mixing bowl or salad bowl, combine slaw ingredients. Pour dressing over apple mixture. Toss to combine. Chill 30 minutes before serving.
Per 1/2 cup serving 45 calories, 1 g protein, 2 g fat, 11 g carb, 0 chol, 12 mg sodium, 1 g fiber
