Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
    -------- ------------ --------------------------------
    2 eggs
    4 cups milk
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    4 tablespoons sugar
    1/2 cup brandy
    pinch grated nutmeg

In a saucepan, add all the ingredients in the order given except the nutmeg. Beat constantly over medium heat, using a wire whisk (hoop-shaped, with a wire coiled round). Reduce heat and continue to beat, whisking constantly until the mixture is very frothy. Serve immediately, sprinkled with a pinch of grated nutmeg.

Judi's notes: My Mother's friend, Estelle, introduced this concoction to my Mom. It was given to me as a child whenever I was very sick with a bad chest cold. It tasted good (probably the brandy knocked me out), and really helped me feel better.
