    Strawberries 'n Cream Royale

    2 cups strawberries -- sliced
    1 package strawberry gelatin
    -- 6 ounce size
    1 package unflavored gelatin
    -- (.25 ounce size)
    1/2 cup milk
    1/4 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 cup sour cream
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 cup whipped topping

In food processor, puree strawberries 30 seconds. In large bowl, combine strawberry gelatin and 2 1/2 cups boiling water; let sit 3 minutes or until gelatin is dissolved. Stir in 1 cup cold water and pureed berries. Reserve 1 cup strawberry mixture and keep at room temperature; pour remaining strawberry mixture into 6 cup gelatin mold. Chill 1 hour, 30 minutes, or until gelatin is set but not firm.

In microwave-safe bowl, sprinkle, unflavored gelatin over 3 tablespoons cold water. Let sit 3 minutes or until gelatin is softened; microwave 30 seconds, or until melted.

In saucepan over medium heat, bring milk and sugar to a simmer, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; stir in unflavored gelatin. Let cool 5 minutes. Whisk in sour cream and vanilla extract. Spoon milk mixture into gelatin mold over chilled strawberry layer. Chill 1 hour, or until set.

Pour reserved strawberry mixture over milk layer. (If strawberry mixture has firmed up, puree in food processor until softened). Chill 4 hours or until firm. Unmold onto platter. Top with whipped topping.

    Prep time: 30 minutes
Total time: 40 minutes plus chilling time.
