    Jake's All-Purpose Barbecue Rub

    Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
    -------- ------------ --------------------------------
    1 cup paprika
    1/4 cup ground cumin
    1/4 cup brown sugar -- packed
    1/4 cup chili powder
    1/4 cup salt
    1/4 cup black pepper -- freshly cracked
    2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
    1 teaspoon ground cloves

    Mix all the ingredients together. Cover and store in a cool, dark place, this rub will keep for about 6 weeks. Good with beef or pork ribs, steak and poultry.
