Polish Cabbage and Noodles

4 cups cabbage -- sliced
1 small onion -- chopped
1/4 cup butter
1 pound wide egg noodles -- cooked
salt and pepper -- to taste
sour cream (optional)
Cook egg noodles in a pot of salted water. When the noodles are done, drain them and set aside.
In a skillet saute the onions in butter until transparent. Add cabbage and saute around 5 minutes or until tender. Mix the cooked noodles with other ingredients in the skillet. Add salt, pepper, and sour cream if you are using it. The dish is ready to serve.
