Judy's Steamed Cabbage

1/2 head of cabbage
1 tablespoon light margarine
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon Splenda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Recipe
Cut the cabbage into quarters. Remove any wilted and discolored outer leaves and cut out the core from the cabbage pieces. Cut the cabbage into a large (1-inch) dice.
Heat the margarine and water to simmering in a 4-quart pot. Stir in the cabbage, sugar, salt, and pepper. Cover the pot and cook the cabbage, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender, about 25 minutes.
