Linguine With Clam Sauce

List of Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
2 onions, diced
6 cloves garlic, minced
4 teaspoons flour
12 ounces canned, minced clams, drained
1 cup half-and-half
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 teaspoons parsley, minced
8 ounces linguine, cooked and kept warm
Parmesan cheese, for garnish
White wine, optionalRecipe
Melt butter in saucepan on medium-high heat. Add onion and saute until golden. Add garlic and cook 1 minute more. Blend in flour. Reduce heat and add drained clams and half-and-half. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add salt and pepper. Add parsley and cook 1 minute more.
Serve over cooked linguine with lots of Parmesan cheese. Add a little white wine to sauce just before serving, if desired. Serves 4.
