    Homemade Macaroni and Cheese

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
    • 2 tablespoons melted butter
    • 2 tablespoons cheese
    • 1 can evaporated milk
    • 2 beaten eggs
    • Dash of Tabasco sauce
    • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
    • 1/2 pound cooked macaroni
    • Several cups of grated cheddar cheese


    Instructions


    1. Mix the breadcrumbs, melted butter, and the cheese for the crusty topping and set aside.
    2. Combine the evaporated milk, the beaten eggs, Tabasco and dry mustard. Add 2/3 of the mixture to a kettle of the cooked macaroni. Add the cheese and cook on low heat, stirring until all the cheese melts.
    3. Add the rest of the mixture to the macaroni slowly, so as not to scramble the eggs.
    4. Once everything is melted together, pour the macaroni mix into a baking pan and add the breadcrumb topping.
    5. Put under the broiler for a few minutes, so set.
