    Mom's Tuna Noodle Casserole

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 ribs celery chopped
    • 1/2 cup chopped onion
    • 1/4 cup butter
    • 1/4 cup flour
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1 pkg, narrow noodles, 7 ounces
    • 2 cans (6 ounces) tuna


    Instructions


    1. Cook celery and onion in butter in skillet.
    2. In a 2 quart saucepan, cook noodles according to directions. Undercook slightly. Drain and return to saucepan.
    3. After the veggies are cooked to tender, stir in the flour. Add the milk and cook till thickened. Simmer for about 3 minutes.
    4. Stir the cream sauce into the noodles with the tuna.

    5. Season to taste with salt and pepper and parsley flakes.


    Final Comments


    Instead of the milk sauce, you may substitute canned cream soup of any flavor you desire.
