    Here's a great recipe for delicious, light biscuits for Sunday dinner.

    List of Ingredients




    5 Cups Flour
    3 Teaspoons Baking Powder
    1/2 Teaspoon Soda
    2 Cups Buttermilk
    1 Package Yeast
    2/3 Cup Shortening
    3 Tablespoons Sugar
    1 Teaspoon Salt

    Recipe



    Sift in large bowl 5 cups flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and soda. Heat 2 cups buttermilk until warm; dissolve yeast in buttermilk. Cut 3/4 cup shortening into flour. Pour milk over dry ingredients; mix well. Cover bowl and refrigerate 2 hours or overnight. Roll out biscuits; let rise 1 hour. Bake at 45 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 36 biscuits. Dough will keep in refrigerator 2 or 3 days.
