    Source of Recipe

    Recipe Introduction

Ham is my favorite meat and I love cheddar cheese so naturally this is my favorite casserole. Try this, your family will love this dish.

    List of Ingredients

    2 Pounds Potatoes
    1/2 Cup Chopped Onion
1 1/2 Cups Cubed Cooked Ham
    3 Tablespoons Butter
2 Cups Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese
    2 Tablespoons Flour
    1 Teaspoon Salt
    1/4 Teaspoon Pepper
    2 1/2 Cups Milk

    Recipe

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Pare potatoes; wash and slice thin (about 4 cups). Chop onions, cube cooked ham and grate cheese. In heavy saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat until bubbly. Remove from heat; stir in milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. In 2 quart, greased casserole, arrange potatoes in 3 layers, topping each with onions, ham, cheese and small amount of sauce. Add more cheese to top layer. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Cover to prevent cheese from burning.
