    The best oatmeal cookies in the world. Grandma always served these cookies after our Thanksgiving dinner.

    List of Ingredients




    2 & 1/2 Cups Raw Oatmeal
    2 Cups Flour
    1/2 Cup Shortening
    1 & 1/2 Cups Sugar
    1 Teaspoon Soda
    2 Eggs
    1/2 Teaspoon Salt
    2 Tablespoons Milk
    2 Teaspoons Vanilla

    Recipe



    Cream shortening and sugar together. Add beaten eggs and milk. Sift flour, salt and soda into the first mixture and beat well. Add flavoring, oat flakes and then mix well. Drop from spoon onto a greased and floured baking sheet. Bake in a 350 degree oven until golden.
