Buttermilk 'Batter Fried' Chicken Livers

Here's the only way to eat chicken livers. You'll want this three meals a day.
List of Ingredients
1 Pound Chicken Livers
1 Teaspoon Salt
3/4 Cup Buttermilk
1 Cup Self-Rising Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Lemon-Pepper Seasoning
1 Pint Vegetable OilRecipe
Halve livers, wash under cool running water, pat dry on paper toweling then sprinkle with salt. Pour buttermilk into a medium sized bowl. Measure flour onto wax paper. Dip livers in buttermilk, sprinkle with lemon-pepper seasoning then roll in flour, coating well. Shake off excess flour. Pour oil into a medium size saucepan to a depth of one inch. Heat oil to 350 degrees. Fry livers, a few at a time, 3 minutes, turning once or until crispy brown. Remove to paper toweling to drain. Keep livers in a warm oven until all are fried. Serves 4 extremely happy people.
