    Recipe Introduction

A tasty savory pork dish that is a favorite with everyone. A traditional chinese favorite that I love.

    List of Ingredients

    1 & 1/2 Pounds Pork
    1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1 Large Onion, Cut In Eight Wedges
    1/2 Cup Water
1 Small Head Cabbage, Shredded (8 Cups)
    16 Ounces Bean Sprouts
    1/3 Cup Soy Sauce
    2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
    1/8 Teaspoon Ginger
    Chow Mein Noodles

    Recipe

Cut pork in 1/2 to 3/4 inch pieces and brown in large frying pan. Sprinkle with salt; add onion and water. Cover tightly and cook slowly 45 minutes. Add cabbage and cook 10 minutes. Stir in bean sprouts. Blend soy sauce with cornstarch and ginger and gradually add to pork mixture, stirring to blend. Cook until thickened, stirring occasionally. Serve on chow mein noodles. Serves 6.
