    This full-flavored dish is perfect for the entire family on that cool fall day. It's delicious, fast and easy to make.

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 Cup Chopped Onion
    2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
    1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
    1 Medium Tomato, Chopped
    29 Ounces Chicken Broth (2 Cans, 14 1/2 Ounces Each)
    1 3/4 Cups Water
    1/2 Teaspoon Dried Basil
    1/2 Teaspoon Oregano
    1/2 Teaspoon Celery Flakes
    1/4 Teaspoon Pepper
    45 3/4 Ounces Great Northern Or Pinto Beans, Rinsed & Drained
    1 Cup Uncooked Elbow Macaroni
    1 Tablespoon Minced Parsley

    Recipe



    In a large saucepan, cook the beans until just tender. In another large saucepan, saute onion and garlic in oil until tender. Add tomato; simmer for 5 minutes. Add the broth, water and seasonings. Bring to a boil; cook for 5 minutes. Drain beans then add to mixture along with the macaroni; return to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes or until macaroni is tender. Sprinkle with parsley. Yields 8 servings (2 quarts).
