    List of Ingredients




    3 eggs, separated
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    6 T. melted shortening

    Recipe



    Beat yolks until light. Add one cup buttermilk. Sift dry ingredients and add to liquid ingredients. Add second cup of buttermilk and the melted shortening. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake on hot waffle iron.
