FOOTBALL BROWNIES

Recipe Introduction
These are excellent for feeding a large group. Made many batches for the football team growing up.
List of Ingredients
BROWNIE
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 cubes margarine
3 T. cocoa
1 c. water
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
FROSTING
1 cube margarine
1/4 c. milk
2 T. cocoa
1 box powdered sugar
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 tsp. vanillaRecipe
Mix sugar and flour in bowl. Bring to a boil margarine, cocoa and water. Add to sugar and flour. Add beaten eggs, buttermilk, soda, vanilla and salt. Pour in greased and floured 11 x 14 inch pan (broiler pan). Bake at 350 degrees F. for 25 minutes. Frost when hot with hot frosting.
For the frosting, bring first 3 ingredients to boil. Remove from burner - add 1 box powdered sugar and teaspoon vanilla. Spread hot frosting on hot brownies. Top with 1 cup chopped nuts if desired.
