    Huckleberry Buckle

    1/2 cup butter or shortening
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 egg -- beaten
    2 cups sifted all purpose flour
    2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup milk
    2 cups fresh huckleberries
    Cinnamon Crumbs:
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup flour
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 cup butter

    Cream butter and sugar; add egg and mix well.

    Sift flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

    Pour into well-greased 11 1/2" x 7" pan.

    Top with blueberries, then Cinnamon Crumbs.

    Bake at 350F for 45-50 minutes. Serve warm.

    Cinnamon Crumbs: Mix 1/2 cup each sugar and flour with 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Cut in 1/4 cup butter until crumbly.
